It's Time to Federally Legalize Marijuana in Virginia

Virginia legalized recreational marijuana in 2021 and launched retail sales in 2023, making it the first Southern state to fully legalize adult-use cannabis through the legislature. Federal legalization would protect Virginia cannabis consumers and businesses, particularly the tens of thousands of federal employees in Northern Virginia who risk their jobs under federal contractor drug policies simply for using a legal product in their home state.
