Alaska legalized recreational marijuana in 2014, but federal prohibition continues to create serious obstacles for Alaska cannabis businesses. Without access to federal banking, Alaska dispensaries are forced to operate cash-only in one of the most remote states in the nation. Federal legalization would bring Alaska's thriving cannabis industry into full compliance and unlock the banking access every legitimate business deserves.
